Pothen Jacob, MD
Dr. Jacob graduated from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. He completed Internal Medicine Residency at University of Pittsburgh in 1985. He then joined a Gastroenterology Fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago. This included a one year fellowship in Motility Disorders, Sponsored by the National Institute of Health. He is the lead author in several scientific publications in gastroenterology journals. He has been in private practice in Pinellas County since 1990. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr Jacob practices in all aspects of Gastroenterology with special interest in Motility Disorders, Liver Disease and Colon cancer screening. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.
