Mihir Patel, MD Dr Patel was born and raised in India. He obtained his medical degree from one of the oldest and most prestigious medical school, The State University of Gujarat, India. After moving to the United States he completed medical residency in Internal Medicine from The State University of New York at Stonybrook, NY in 2000. He obtained three additional years of fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Liver Disease at The University of Texas, Houston and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He was actively involved in Endoscopic and Clinical research during his fellowship years. He has been in private Gastroenterology practice since 2003. Dr Patel is board certified in Gastroenterology with the American Board Of Internal Medicine (ABIM). His areas of interest and expertise include gastrointestinal cancers (Screening/Preventative measures), gastroesophageal reflux, liver and biliary disorders and Hemorrhoid related care. He is a member of The American Gastroenterology Association, The American College of Gastroenterology and The American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr Patel is an avid sports fan and follows the game of cricket and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He enjoys golfing , traveling and spending time with his family. Dr Patel believes in building and nurturing the patient-doctor relationship through open communication, education and mutual respect. |
