Dr. Patel was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to obtaining his medical degree from The Medial College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia in 2016, he pursued a degree in Biology from The Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2019, Dr. Patel completed his Internal Medicine residency at The University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida followed by three years of Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at The University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Patel's expertise includes colorectal cancer screening, colon polyp surveillance, complex polypectomy and EMR, gastroesophageal reflux treatment, BravoTM pH testing, Barrett's screening and surveillance, and anorectal manometry, esophageal dilation, video capsule endoscopy. He is also experienced in treating irritable bowel disease, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, gastrointestinal motility disorders, esophageal disorders, hemorrhoidal therapy with banding. Dr. Patel is board certified in Internal Medicine, is a member of The American College of Gastroenterology and The American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and has presented several of his abstracts at national conferences. Dr. Patel now resides in St. Petersburg, Florida. Outside of medicine, he is passionate about fitness, football (Go Falcons!), Formula 1, finance, automobiles, cooking, the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family. Dr. Patel aims to provide exceptional, compassionate, and tailored gastrointestinal care for the best possible experiences and outcomes for his patients.
